Their Exhibit on South American Mining documenting the works and lives of El Choco, Columbia, grassroots miners - and the threats to their traditions - runs from September 3-16 in the CIG atrium. Organized by BW Professor Michael Melampy and sponsored by the NEO Sierra Club Rainforest Committee and the Center for Innovation & Growth, the artist/entrepreneurs' September 4 Gallery Talk showcases how they turned passion into opportunity, serving as a springboard for their work depicting the environmental impact of the El Choco mining project. Save room for dessert, exhibit viewing and a lively Q&A session with the artists! Both the lecture and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
