Stephen Prothero addresses some of the most highly charged issues of our time with the premise that religious ignorance is not bliss. A best-selling author whose work has inspired a Time cover story and landed him on national media and as a speaker at the White House, Prothero advocates for mandatory academic study of world religions in public schools. He believes the sooner we understand the differences between religions, the more we can learn how to achieve religious tolerance and co-existence.
The lecture is free and open to the public. This edition of Enduring Questions: The Collier Lecture Series is co-sponsored by the Faith & Life Lecture Series.
